Conditions attached to Primary and secondary schools in kano state ahead of Oct-11-2020 resumption date

  Kano State governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the re-opening of primary and secondary school's  in the state. The governor announced that schools within the state are to resume on Oct-11-2020, Ganduje also gave some conditions attached to schools re-opening 

 The approval was contained in a memo presented to the Governor by the Hon. Commissioner of Education Mal. Muhammad Sanusi Kiru.

His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, OFR has approved the re-opening of schools in Kano with effect from 11th October, 2020.

 The approval was contained in a memo presented to the Governor by the Hon. Commissioner of Education Mal. Muhammad Sanusi Kiru. 

The re-opening of the schools is made subject to the following conditions:-

 a). That all government approved Islamiyya Schools shall re-open under strict compliance with the Covid-19 protocols with effect from 11th October,2020.

 b). That Primary 6 from Public Schools and Primary 5 from Private Schools are to resume on Monday 11th October, 2020.

 c). Primary 1 & 2 are to attend classes only on Mondays and Tuesdays while Primary 3, 4 & 5 will go to school only on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with effect from 11th October, 2020.

 d). JSS 1 and SS1 in both Public and Private boarding and day schools are to wait at home for additional 5 weeks until the end of transitional and qualifying examinations to ensure social distances in classes and hostels. 

e). That all the 15 Tsangaya (Almajiri) Integrated Schools are to resume fully as from 11th October,2020.

 f). JSS 2, JSS 3 & SS 2 are to fully resume in preparation of the forthcoming qualifying and transitional examinations. His Excellency has further approved the immediate decontamination of the 8,582 public schools in addition to the private schools involved in the re-opening exercise.

Tertiary institutions within the state of kano resumption date has not been announced yet

Higher institutions in kano state to resume October 26th

As so many higher institutions within the country have resumed back to normal activities, kano state higher institutions are yet to resume Yesterday, Dr Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure kano state commissioner of higher education declared in a statement as she briefed  journalist in kano state ministry of education headquarters about the resumption of higher institutions in the state. Bunkure said that, the state government has slated 26th October 2020 as the resumption date for higher institutions in the state.  She added, saying, institutions in the state have prepared well based on the reports from officials assinged to go round and check how far institutions have gone with preparation of the complete return of students  The state government has urged the institutions to provide hand sanitizer and face masks to ensure compliance to COVID-19 protocols.
