Mukhtar Dauda Raula, President of the Shadow Youth of Kano State, said that Northern youths would not stand idly and watch the efforts of the Southerners to overthrow President Muhammadu Buhari 's government just because he hails from the North. Raula said that we do not support President Muhammad Buhari, but the Southerners attempt to use the ENDSARS protest is a reflection of the recent overthrow of Gaddafi 's government in Libya and Saddam Hussain in Iraq. Raula added saying Northerners should know that they are ready to go to war if the protesters want President Buhari to step down or put an end to Nigeria. "Southern Nigerians have been harassing us for a long time about the presidency in the eyes of the northern authorities, but this time the youth of the North will not do it again, as our leaders have done in the past." As so many higher institutions within the country have resumed back to normal activities, kano state higher institutions are yet to resume Yesterday, Dr Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure kano state commissioner of higher education declared in a statement as she briefed  journalist in kano state ministry of education headquarters about the resumption of higher institutions in the state. Bunkure said that, the state government has slated 26th October 2020 as the resumption date for higher institutions in the state.  She added, saying, institutions in the state have prepared well based on the reports from officials assinged to go round and check how far institutions have gone with preparation of the complete return of students  The state government has urged the institutions to provide hand sanitizer and face masks to ensure compliance to COVID-19 protocols.

  Kano State governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the re-opening of primary and secondary school's  in the state. The governor announced that schools within the state are to resume on Oct-11-2020, Ganduje also gave some conditions attached to schools re-opening   The approval was contained in a memo presented to the Governor by the Hon. Commissioner of Education Mal.
