Graduate student of University of Michigan united states propose to extend school strike until friday
The university of Michigan graduate staff organisation has proposed to re-authorize its school strike and continue to demonstrate in the protest of varsity of Michigan reopening plans for the fall semester

The extension was announced by the association on sunday night
The association will protest today outside the varsity of Michigan Detroit centre
The GEO management announced the results of the move to its members via email, highlighting the success of the first week strike.
The message reads " Last week, we proved to the university leaders, to the university community, and to each other that GEO is committed to fighting for a safe and just community, and we are not prepared to stop until we get it".
Prior to the move, the GEO management without exception recommended extending the strike, quoting the fact that they do not have a new offer for the university or guaranteed protection from retaliation as well as the growing support they are seeing for their cause.
Geo, represents over 2,000 graduate student instructors and graduate student staff assistants, it has been on strike since Tuesday last week. Their demands includes increased safety precautions against COVID-19, support for international students and diversion of funds from the department of public safety and security.
